Other Options for iPhone Downloads
Posted by CodyD on Saturday Jul 17, 2010 Under iPhone DownloadsEach and every day, thousands of iPhone users search for new downloads for their iPhone. I think by now, everyone knows about all the great iPhone downloads you can get from iTunes — music, movies, TV, shows, and so on. However, do you know that you have other options besides iTunes when you are looking for new iPhone downloads?
First of all, there are private networks and blogs where techy geeks (and I mean that in a complimentary way) hang out and discuss programming topics. Many of these forums and blogs have areas where programmers can upload their apps to share with others. Some of the more popular hangouts for this are Brothersoft, FreewareFiles, and iPhoneFreeware.
Another option to look into is the area of specialized services. Many program developers offer special video, multi-media, and web applications through these channels for a very reasonable price. Some examples include IM for Skype, Mobiscope and Mobiola Video Studio.
Finally, you may want to explore the world of membership download services. For a one-time registration fee, these websites offer access to large media libraries of music, movies, TV shows, and apps for the iPhone — most of which can also be found on iTunes (for a more expensive, per-download charge).
So, if you’re looking for a different or better way to find and download new stuff for your iPhone, check out a couple of the above options.
